U novom broju tjednika Forum naš ugledni poduzetnik Emil Tedeschi, jedan od rijetkih čiji uspjeh nije popločen sumnjama i kontroverzama, kaže da je plaćanje poreza državi pitanje patriotizma. Ideja je plemenita jednako koliko i glupo romantična. Nije što ja tako mislim, nego što tako misle svi oni koji su se desetljećima busali u prsa i držali ruku na srcu dok slušaju himnu. Njima to govoriti isto je što govoriti ateistima da je guranje novčanice u crkvene škrabice pitanje vjere.

Razlika je u tome što će ateisti priznati da nemaju nikakve veze s vjerom, ali će se na ideju o urednom plaćanju poreza kao izrazu domoljublja nasmijati upravo najviše oni koji su nam patriotizam najviše prodavali u prošla dva desetljeća. Nije da HDZ-ovci koji su toliko haračili zemljom, a i svi drugi s tom vrstom retorike, ne vjeruju u patriotizam, no patriotizam je za njih ponajprije integrirajuće tkivo za pljačku i otimačinu koje im upravo - koje li ironije - zbog osjećaja njihovih vlastitih patriotskih pobuda daje za pravo te pljačke.

Ljudi poput mene nikada se neće busati u prsa patriotizmom – ergo, ja na njemu ne mogu ni zarađivati, bilo legalno, bilo krađom. Njima je to pak dopušteno i otuda naoko tako velik raskorak između onoga što rade i onoga što propovijedaju. Da, ti patrioti poput Tuđmana, nekih članova njegove obitelji osobito, Sanadera, Pašalića, Nevena Jurice, Thompsona, popis je poduži, znamo ga iz medija, to su ljudi koji su duboko uvjereni da zaslužuju ama svaku ukradenu kunu. I po tome oni na svoja ne djela ne gledaju nužno kao na krađu. Samo to može objašnjavati takvu masovnost otimačina.

Stvar je krajnje licemjerna i ironična, ali tko nam je kriv kada u zemlji, koja osim granica i službenih obilježja nema više ništa svoje, uopće koristimo pojam patriotizma kao neku činjenicu. Uostalom, Alfred Adler je jednom rekao da je patriotska dužnost svakoga građanina lagati za svoju zemlju. U našem je slučaju dužnost krasti u ime svoje zemlje. Tko dobije priliku naravno…
